Hannah Gersen is a novelist and critic based in Brunswick, Maine. She is the author of the novels Home Field and We Were Pretending. She writes the newsletter Thelma and Alice to highlight movies written or directed by women. She often reviews movies for The Common, and her fiction, essays, and reviews have been included in various publications including Electric Lit, Granta, Lithub, The New York Times, Poets & Writers Magazine, and The Sun.
