Jessica’s infatuation with film started off unexpectedly. Through her teenage years, she dabbled with all the independent romances and films constantly swept under the radar. She wrote for her college newspaper, where she found a place to refine her writing. After some college courses in electronic media, she decided to start her blog, The Cinema Bliss, where she blogs about film, personal posts, and other cinematic pieces.

She is a die-hard Richard Linklater junkie and will fight to no end for the “conversation as plot” theme. From 2015-2017 she was a film reviewer and journalist for Screen Relish, before the site shut down in March of 2017. She currently writes for Jumpcut Online, Next Best Picture, and Cultured Vultures.
