Lé Baltar is a culture journalist, film and theater critic based in Manila. Her reporting can be found in Rolling Stone Philippines, Rappler, VICE, CNN Philippines, The Philippine Star, NOLISOLI, and Asian Movie Pulse, among others.
A member of the International Film Society Critics Association, she was the first recipient of the Alexis Tioseco and Nika Bohinc Award for Film Criticism at the QCinema International Film Festival in the Philippines in 2023.
In her work she centers trans/queer caring systems, material contexts informing artistic ventures, and alternative approaches to cultural practice.
