Lé Baltar is an independent culture journalist and film critic out of Manila who specializes in contemporary Philippine, Asian, and trans/queer cinemas.
The first recipient of the Alexis Tioseco and Nika Bohinc Award for Film Criticism at the QCinema International Film Festival, she’s an international voter for the Golden Globes and GALECA’s Dorian Awards, and a member of the International Film Society Critics Association and the Online Association of Female Film Critics.
A Tomatometer-approved critic, Lé has contributed to Indiewire, Kani Releasing, Rolling Stone Philippines, In Review Online, VICE, Ultra Dogme, Hammer to Nail, Esquire Philippines, CNN Philippines, and beyond.
