Letícia Magalhães is a historian, librarian and film critic, writing in Portuguese, English and Spanish, although she also speaks German and Italian.
She was a contributor to sites such as Filmes & Games and Leia Literatura. She keeps (since 2010) the bilingual classic film blog Crítica Retrô and contributes to the websites Revista Eletrônica Ambrosia, Cine Suffragette, which she also edits, Café História and Jornal Nota. She has published poems and prose in several anthologies, plus six solo books.
She was the winner of the Russell Merritt Prize in the Collegium at the Giornate del Cinema Muto – Pordenone Silent Film Festival in Italy in 2021, writing about what she loves the most: Cinema and History.
