Louisa Moore, OAFFC President

Louisa is the founder of and head critic for Screen Zealots. Her lifelong love of movies began when she saw Star Wars in a theater at age 4. That early spark has grown into a career devoted to thoughtful, wide-ranging film criticism. With a degree in Cinema Studies, Louisa reviews films across all genres and budgets, from major studio releases to independent and micro-budget films. She also highlights films that often receive little mainstream critical attention.

As the Founder and President of the Online Association of Female Film Critics (OAFFC) and a member of the Board of Directors for Critics Groups for Equality in Media (CGEM), Louisa has worked to foster greater inclusion, visibility, and opportunity among film writers and journalists, especially those working in digital and independent media. A champion of independent film, she regularly covers major festivals including Sundance, SXSW, TIFF, and Fantastic Fest.

She is a Tomatometer-approved critic at Rotten Tomatoes and a reviewer for CherryPicks. She also serves on the Advisory Board for the Desert Waves Film Festival. In addition to the Critics Choice Association, she is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), the Las Vegas Film Critics Society (LVFCS), the Internet Film Critics Society (IFCS), and the Online Film & Television Association (OFTA).

Louisa serves on the OAFFC Membership Committee.
