Smaller Pictures was created by Nicola Ryan several years ago. Having had a love of films since the age of 4, Nicola’s academic background lies in English Literature, and she graduated with a BA (Hons) and MA from Bangor University.
Bringing an analytical quality to her writing, Nicola’s interest lies in films of all genres, particularly from directors such as Stanley Kubrick and Paul Thomas Anderson.
Passionate about strong female characters in films such as Norma Desmond in “Sunset Boulevard” and Martha in “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?,” it is Nicola’s pipe dream to have an Original Screenplay Oscar that features a brilliant female characteron the mantlepiece.
