Orla Smith is the Executive Editor of film site and publishing house Seventh Row, where she has co-edited and co-authored several books about film, including Roads to nowhere: Kelly Reichardt’s broken American dreams and Beyond empowertainment: Feminist horror and the struggle for female agency. She is a regular panelist on the Seventh Row Podcast and the co-founder of the Lockdown Film School online masterclass series. She is also a freelance writer who regularly contributes to The Film Stage and has written for Little White Lies, Girls on Tops, JumpCut Online, The Spool, Cinema Year Zero, and more. Orla is based near London, where she makes films in her spare time.
