The Old Sport, Rosalie Kicks is a filmmaker, movie critic, and dabbler living in Philadelphia. When she isn’t watching movies, she can be found toiling away in her lab working on the next issue of the movie zine she co-runs, Moviejawn.
The subscription based zine is printed quarterly and Rosalie provides content ranging from filmmaker interviews to criticism. In addition to the zine, Rosalie also contributes to the zine’s movie review website, Moviejawn.com. As a lover of classic film, Rosalie authors dissertations of some of her favorite films from the golden age of Hollywood as well reviews of the newly released flicks playing in cinemas. She also serves as co-host of Moviejawn’s movie advice podcast, I Saw it in a Movie, a monthly broadcast that finds answers to listeners questions via movies.
In addition to her work with Moviejawn, Rosalie assists Film Reporter and TCM Host Alicia Malone by designing her bi-monthly e-newsletter, Malone Mail. 2019 marked Rosalie’s first time attending and covering the Sundance Film Festival. She hopes more film festivals are in her future! Presently she is working on a feature screenplay.
