Sophia is a writer, podcaster, and lifelong film enthusiast who considers herself a scholar of Best Actress winners, cinematic fashion, and the films of the 1970s. She hosts and produces the podcast “Oscar Wild,” where she celebrates her love of film with retrospectives, deep dives on all 23 Oscar categories, and interviews with directors and creatives. She is also a staff writer at AwardsWatch where she reviews the latest releases and interviews Emmy- and Oscar-nominated talent. She is currently based in New York City and loves checking out all of the incredible retro programming that the city has to offer. She thanks her mom for her love of Old Hollywood actresses and her dad for letting her stay up late to watch the Oscars when she was in preschool.
