The “Rosie” Award: “Portrait of a Lady on Fire”
The Rosie award (named for the iconic Rosie the Riveter) celebrates the film that best promotes women, their voices, and the female experience through cinema. We are pleased to announce that “Portrait of a Lady on Fire” has taken this year’s honor.
I didn’t get a chance to vote this year but agreed with many of the pics here, esp Best Film, Best Director, Breakthrough Filmmaker, Best Acting Ensemble and the two screenplay awards. Finally saw Parasite last night and it was amazing. Marriage Story is so heartbreaking, love everything about it!!
