The Online Association of Female Film Critics (OAFFC) is pleased to announce the addition of five new categories for their end-of-year awards. Based on suggestions and votes from members, the OAFFC will be recognizing achievements in the following new categories:

Best International Feature

Best Editing

Best Costume Design

Best Visual Effects

Best Stunts

This expands the OAFFC Awards from 12 categories (not counting special categories for Breakthrough Filmmaker and Breakthrough Performance, or the OAFFC’s signature award, The Rosie) to 17.

Awards are now given in the following 17 categories:

• Best Film
• Best Director
• Best Male Lead
• Best Female Lead
• Best Supporting Male
• Best Supporting Female
• Best Acting Ensemble
• Best Original Screenplay
• Best Adapted Screenplay
• Best Documentary
• Best International Feature
• Best Animated Feature
• Best Cinematography
• Best Editing
• Best Visual Effects
• Best Costume Design
• Best Stunts

Special award categories include:

• Breakthrough Filmmaker
• Breakthrough Performance

The Rosie

This OAFFC-specific award “celebrates the film that best promotes women, their voices, and the female experience through cinema.”
